About Gospel For Muslims

Dr. Abraham Sarker and his wife Amie founded Gospel for Muslims, a mission organization dedicated to bringing hope to the 1.3 billion Muslims around the world through witness, discipleship, and church planting.

Born and raised as a devout Muslim in the South Asian Islamic country of Bangladesh, Dr. Sarker was being trained as an Islamic leader when God miraculously opened his eyes and touched his heart with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He has paid a high price for his faith in Christ, but is committed to share this hope with others. God has used him to lead several Muslims to Christ around the world, including members of his own family who disowned him when he first accepted Jesus.

After coming to the United States Dr. Sarker completed a Bible degree from Christ for the Nations Institute, Bachelors and MBA degrees from Dallas Baptist University, and a Doctorate in Strategic Leadership from Regent University.

Presently, Dr. Sarker serves as the Executive Director of Gospel for Muslims, as well as an adjunct professor at Dallas Baptist University. Prior to founding GFM, Dr. Sarker served as a Christian Missionary for several years.

His first-hand experience, training, and scholarly research prepared Dr. Sarker to write Understand My Muslim People, a book helping Christians understand and reach out to his Muslim people. He has also contributed to other Christian publications, including writing a chapter for The Evangelism Guidebook, a collaborative effort with Rick Warren, Luis Palau, and others. Dr. Sarker is a sought-after seminar presenter on Islam, and he shares his passion and insights at Christian conferences, and on radio and television programs across North America.

Dr. Sarker’s wife Amie shares this passion for reaching Muslims with the love of Christ. She has ministered to Muslim women in the Middle East as well as in South Asian settings and has a deep understanding of the Islamic mind-set. Amie is also completing her Ph.D. through which she seeks to glorify God by ministering to Muslims around the world more effectively.
